At Too Shy to Stop, we’re always filled with Joy.  Check out Marjorie’s article about the Pepsi logo and its resemblance to Obama’s signature “O”.

She writes: “The dusty quality to the blue in the new Pepsi logo and on the cans is very evocative of the blue on much of Obama’s campaign materials. The new Pepsi logo is a simple design, too – it reminds consumers of the logos for Korean Air, Girl Scouts, and Major League Baseball as well. The resemblance between the logos is likely unintentional, but the ad campaign is a different story.”

We’ve spent a lot of time this week trying to distinguish between things that are eerily similar.  Mermaid wondered about Valentine’s Day and whether it’s actually more closely related to leaving creepy voicemails and courting a valentine.

We’ve also wondered about Facebook and the ways that it affects our lives.  Rebecca explored the ways that Facebook changes the dynamic in friendships and romantic relationships.  Ana warned us about the dangers of Facebook and identity theft.  Niko would probably agree that you should research your future college roommate on Facebook, just so you know what to expect.

I don’t know about you, but I’m thrilled that Dr. Martens are making a comeback.  I’m going to dust off the pair I’ve been keeping in my basement, exactly for a time like this, and trudge through the week ahead.  We’re just waiting for the weather to become warmer.  Not offense, Doc, but I’m going to shake you off in favor of flip-flops once the temperature is warm enough.
