Niko wrote about the various types of operating systems available for college students. Choosing which computer to purchase is difficult enough, but how do you know which operating system to use? In his column Niko’s College Counsel, Niko shares advantages and disadvantages of the three major operating systems.
He writes, “…the student must make their own decision as to what kind of operating system they want. Most students will choose a Windows or Mac, however a few might use Linux. Windows is familiar to most people, but will be bogged down with viruses and anti-virus programs. Mac OS might take some getting used to, but in the end, the system is quite simple and super convenient for users.
Writer Rosalind attended the march for Invisible Children and wrote an informative article describing the issue and her experience. She writes, “Something sparked within me when I watched the documentaries, when I knew I could be apart of the movement to help, and that was what led me to sign up for The Rescue. This sentiment was strong on the day of the protest. One participant said, ‘I just hope people take notice, that they see all these people out here, saying something has to be done.’”
We hope you enjoy the beginning of June!
