We spent this past week revitalizing Too Shy to Stop. Why don’t you follow us on Twitter or become a fan of Too Shy to Stop on Facebook? All the cool kids are doing it!

We introduced a new column to replace Niko’s College Counsel (Niko is spending his summer traveling to cool places!). Ana Is an Intern follows Too Shy to Stop writer Ana Richters as she navigates a summer as an intern at Metro Pulse, a Knoxville, TN weekly. In her first installment, Ana emphasizes the importance of interacting respectfully with coworkers, getting out of bed in the morning, and dressing to impress.

“What did I wear for my interview? White slacks and a flouncy church top, matching bag and sandals. What do I wear at the office? I lean towards jeans or slacks, nice shirts or tops that are just below my flouncy interview one, and sandals or sneakers. I’m fortunate enough to work in an environment that does not have a dress code, but that may not be the case everywhere. Learn what is expected from your boss and fellow employees.”

New Too Shy to Stop writer Danielle examined the effects of Hulu on young audiences today. How does it impact their viewing habits and their power to choose what they want to watch at any given moment? She spoke to some young people, who voiced their opinions.

In addition, I wrote a follow-up article to a piece I did in October 2008 about the faces behind Africa in Demand, a television and Internet show that promotes a positive image of Africa. Expect more writing from me too, now that I have the summer to myself!
