Lisa Rowan was born and raised in the outskirts of Philadelphia, but has adopted Washington, DC as her home, at least for now. Playing kickball on the National Mall is perhaps her favorite perk of living in the area. By day she is a senior media researcher for a public relations software company, and by night she blogs about vintage and consignment clothing at http://www.quarterlife202.blogspot.com. She has already survived her own quarter-life crisis by attending four colleges in as many years, but settled down at the University of Maryland long enough to earn a bachelor’s degree in history. In the fall of 2010, Lisa will return to the academic scene to pursue a master’s degree in American Studies.
