Niko DeMordaunt was born and raised in the suburbs of Northern California, and is currently a student at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is majoring in English and is still undecided about a minor. Niko writes a weekly column giving tips to prospective college students on what to expect during their university years. When he isn’t doing schoolwork or procrastinating, Niko can be found playing hockey, reading a good novel, working out, staring at the ocean, and spending time with family and friends. He is an avid San Jose Sharks fan, and is often found listening to games on the radio because of his lack of cable. After spending an eye opening summer in the sweltering heat of Taiwan, Niko realized the true importance of “seizing the day.” Although he hopes to continue his education, and eventually become a writer/editor/publisher, Niko’s true goal is to simply enjoy his life.
